What does a senior portrait session involve?

Photographer will travel to various locations to ensure at least 3 different backgrounds for your portraits.  Senior may bring up to 3 changes of clothing (darker colors with little to no design are best).  Remember to have suitable shoes for each change of clothing as they will show in your portraits.  These portraits are to reflect who you are as a unique individual, so please bring items that are important to you.  Suggestions include:  favorite pet (must also have leash), favorite instrument, skateboard, basketball, dance shoes, flowers, class ring, book, music, etc.   Photographer will meet you and a best friend, parent, or girlfriend /boyfriend, at the first agreed upon location to begin the session.  If the weather is uncooperative, we will reschedule for another date. 

The cost of the session is $100.  You will be able to view your images on the website in a private gallery that will contain your proofs.  I will contact you within three weeks of the session to give you the password.  Copyrights for up to 40 images are available for purchase for $200.

What to wear?

Boys:  Suggestions for boys include:  casual/street wear (blue jeans and tee-shirt/ favorite sweatshirt, more formal wear (blue jeans or khakis and polo or long sleeved collared shirt), and parent’s choice.  If you are on a school team and wish to have a portrait in your uniform, make that one of your choices. 

Girls:  Suggestions for girls include:  casual/street wear (blue jeans and long-sleeved or sleeveless shirt), more formal wear (sundress or skirt and blouse), and parent’s choice.  If you are on a school team or after school activity (dance, etc.) and wish to have a portrait in your uniform, bring the uniform and accessories to make that one of your clothing choices. 

*Just a note for girls:  Some poses may not work with skirts/dresses that are shorter than knee length.  Also a v-shaped neckline and sleeveless, 3-quarter sleeve, or long-sleeved shirts are much more flattering that short-sleeved ones.   Too much jewelry can be a distraction as well, so make careful selections of special items or bring some choices and I can help you decide.
